Sunitha Upadrashta is a renowned Playback Singer, Anchor and Dubbing Artist in Tollywood. She was invited to Telugu Association of North America - TANA in 1999, 2001. For TANA 1999 she was a part of the troop with Nagarjuna, Ramya Krishna and Tabu. She has started her Cultural pursuit at a very early age of 3 years and got training in Music from "Pemaraju Surya Rao" in Carnatic music and Light music from "Kalaga Krishna Mohan" for 8 years. Having thus trained, she gave her first program in Carnatic Classical Music in AIR in the year 1995 at the age of 16. She has given about 500 programs so far in AIR, Dooradarshan, ETV, Gemini TV, and MAA TV.

Sunitha's claim to fame was her very first song "Ee Velalo Neevu" a romantic song from the movie "Gulabi". Some of her most famous hits include, "Naa Paata Theta Telugu Paata" from "Athade Oka Sainyam", "Maaghamasam" from "Egire Pavurama", "Naa Peru Cheppukondi" from "Pallakilo Pellikuthuru", etc. She has given voice for various artists like "Anushka", "Asin", "Bhoomika", "Charmi", "Laila", "Meera Jasmine", "Soundarya", "Sonali Bendre", "Shriya", "Genelia", "Sneha", "Sada", "Katrina Kaif", "Trisha", "Kamilini Mukherji", etc. She anchored many music based programs and live shows on Gemini TV, MAA TV, ETV and Dooradarshan.

She received "National Award" from All India Radio under light music category in 1994 at the young of age of 15 years. Won "Nandi Award" from State Government of Andhra Pradesh for year 1999 as the Best female playback singer for TV show "Antha Rangaalu" and for "Jayam" in 2002, "Atthade oka Saiynyam" in 2003, "Best female dubbing artist" for movie, "Anand" in 2004, "Godavari" In 2006. She also won "Vamsi Berkeley Award" for Best female playback in 1999, "Vaartha Vasavi Award" for best playback singer in 2000, "Bharata Muni Award" in 2000, "Cine Goers Award" for Best Dubbing in 2002, "Dasari Award" as a best playback singer in 2003, "Best Playback Singer award" from European Telugu Association, London in 2003, "Kalavedika Art Award" as an All rounder for excellent performance as a Singer, Anchor and Movie dubbing artist in 2003, "Sangam P Susheela Youth Award" honored with Gold Medal in 2004, "Vamsi Berkeley Award" as Best female playback singer in year 2005,

Sunitha has been part of "Thyagaraja Aaradhana Utsavalu" along with her guru "Sri Pemaraju Surya Rao garu" since she was 10 years old and regularly she used to take part of several Classical Concerts and festivals.

    oneof my favourite singers. she is a beautiful singer with melodius voice. one thing i like in her is her dressing. traditional dressing.
