Creativity, talent, looks and humbleness is a rare combination which is often heard than seen. But this wonder boy from Vijayawada is blessed to have that combination along with a melodious and enchanting voice. "Saandip" a name which was derived from the name of Lord Krishna's Guru "Maharshi Saandipani" possessed with it the musical notes Sa Ni Da Pa and gave a true meaning to the name which reverberates now in the voice of this boy.
When nuvvu nenu hit the screen, the song 'Nagundelo Neevundipova' was on everyone's lips and there evolved a soulful voice which made its way straight into the hearts of all the people who had a keen ear for melody. He got national recognition by participation in Hindi Zee-Sa Re Ga Ma Pa where he won 5 episodes and won great appreciations from bollywood biggies.
Saandip is the disciple of Padmasri Dr. Shobha Raju. More than a playback singer he has evolved as a true singer by specializing in Annamacharya Kritis which is an ancient Indian treasure.
With more than 90 movies to his playback credit, which includes hits like 'Nalo nenu' from Aunu Valliddaru Ishtapaddaru, 'Manava Manava' from Anji, 'America America' from Premayanamaha, 'Nemmadi Nemmadi' from Gauri and the recent hit 'Dola re dola' from Arundhati. He has lended his voice for more than 600 Private/devotional albums. His electrifying and energetic stage performances leave audience spellbound.
Not only as a singer but even as an actor he has won the laurels of being the only male singing actor after S.P.Balasubramaniam. His first movie Premayanamaha got a critical acclamation for his acting. Now his new movie Inkosari is running successfully and everyone is appreciating his performance in the character of Vicky and critics rate his acting as having great potential. A Singer, an actor, a performer and more than anything a human being with his values intact, Saandip indeed has a long way to go as in the words of Robert Frost :
"The woods are lovely, dark and deep.
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep."
